Man dies after accident at Kilkenny quarry

A man in his 40s is dead following an accident at a Kilkenny Quarry this morning.

It is understood that a stock pile of dust fell on the man at Bennitsbridge Limestone Quarry at 8.30am.

The victim was rushed to St Luke's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Gardaí from Thomastown garda station and the emergency services are at the scene, which has been preserved.
