Southeast at risk from drought by 2020 - Report

The Government is coming under pressure to do more to curb global warming.

A report by environmental experts at NUI Maynooth claims that parts of the southeast could experience drought by the year 2020.

The Friends of the Earth group has claimed that we need a fundamental shift in policy to reduce greenhouse emissions.

However, director Oisin Coghlan has said that this Government has shown no sign of taking the problem seriously.
