Group set up to improve mental health services
An executive group is being established to help improve mental health services in Ireland.
The independent group will be made up of key figures from a number of mental health organisations.
Its role will be to advise and make recommendations to the Government and the Health Service Executive.
Speaking at the launch of the body today, HSE spokesman Martin Rogan said it was key to ensuring that people with mental health problems are actively involved in policy decisions and the management of services.
