Council unveils plan to restrict large trucks in Dublin city

Dublin City Council has formally unveiled a plan to restrict large trucks from entering the city centre.

From February 19th, all HGVs with five axels or more will not be allowed to enter the city centre without a special permit.

Hauliers who flout the law will face a maximum fine of €1,500, but the council says it is confident that truck drivers will obey the restriction.
