Man dies in collision between van and truck near Mullingar

A man in his 50's has died in a collision between a van and a truck near Mullingar in Co Westmeath.

The accident happened at around 5pm yesterday evening on the Ring Road, at the junction with the N52.

The dead man was a passenger in the van.

The driver and another passenger in the vehicle were also hurt in the crash, but their injuries are not life-threatening.
