Ex-police officers reject Ombudsman's collusion findings
Former police officers in the North are denying claims by the Police Ombudsman that they and their colleagues protected loyalist paramilitaries responsible for a string of murders.
In a report out today, Nuala O'Loan is set to conclude that Special Branch police officers protected UVF informers involved in up to 15 murders between 1991 and 2003 to ensure they were never prosecuted.
