Last-ditch talks seek to avert strike at Bausch and Lomb

Last-minute talks are underway between unions and management in an attempt to avert strike action at the Bausch and Lomb factory in Waterford.

Members of the Technical Engineering and Electrical Union are due to mount pickets on the factory, which manufactures contact lenses, at 9pm this evening.
