Phone recycling to aid terminally ill babies
Mobile phone recycling campaign launched by children's foundation The Jack and Jill Foundation has launched its nationwide drive to recycle more than half a million mobile phones this month.
It has appealed to people to deposit their old mobile phones in recycle bins at their nearest shops or pubs.
The organisation supports families caring for terminally ill babies and will get €10 for every phone it recycles.
For every 20,000 it gets, the foundation can support one nurse to help these families.
The special bins are available in pubs, Centra and Meteor stores.
