Man killed in quad bike accident

A man was killed after his quad motorbike was involved in a crash in the North, police said tonight.

The 23-year-old, from Limavady, Co Derry, died in the single vehicle collision shortly before 2pm this afternoon.

It is understood he was travelling on the quad when he lost control at Nessa Road, just outside the town.

Police named the man as Brendan McGurk, of Castle Gardens, in Limavady.

The road was closed for a time following the incident but later reopened.
