PSNI hunt for armed robber
A masked armed robber who threatened a terrified shopkeeper was today being hunted by police in the North.
The raider brandished a handgun as he demanded cash at a shop in the rural village of Artigarvan, near Strabane, in Co Tyrone.
After threatening the shop worker at about 7.50pm last night he leant over the counter, opened the till and took a sum of money.
The man escaped on foot along the Art Road, according to a PSNI spokeswoman.
He is described as about 5ft 10in tall and of thin to medium build, wearing a navy or black coat with black trousers and black shoes.
Police at Strabane believe the armed raider may have had an accomplice waiting outside the shop.
They have appealed for anyone with information to get in contact.
