Ombudsman to publish report on police collusion with UVF
The North's Police Ombudsman is believed to have handed over her report on alleged collusion between officers and the UVF to the chief constable.
The report, expected to be most politically explosive in many years, will be published on Monday morning.
The report is expected to conclude that police officers in north Belfast colluded over years with an Ulster Volunteer Force unit, more than half of whose members were allegedly paid police informers.
One victim was Sharon McKenna, a 27-year-old, shot at close range as she helped an elderly man eat his Sunday dinner.
The same gunman ordered the murder four years later of Raymond McCord, who was beaten to death.
The Ombudsman has been investigating his murder for the past three years.
