Staff members injured in two armed raids in north Dublin
Two men have been injured during separate armed raids on two business premises in north Dublin this morning.
An employee of a filling station in the Finglas area suffered an eye injury when a shot was fired during an attempted robbery at around 2.30am.
The man refused to hand over money to the three raiders, who then fired a shot at a protective glass barrier, showering the shop assistant with broken shards.
He suffered an eye injury, but his condition is not serious.
Meanwhile, another man was injured in a raid on a separate business premises in the nearby Glasnevin area at around 9am
Three men armed with handguns entered the building on Slaney Road via a rear storeroom, before tying up one member of staff and hitting a second over the head with a piece of wood.
The raiders left with a small quantity of cash.
