Garage worker hurt in armed robbery
A garage worker was injured during a botched armed robbery at a north Dublin filling station early this morning.
At around 2.30am, three men armed with a firearm approached the filling station on North Road, Finglas, and threatened a male member of staff.
When they failed to gain access to the premises, one of the men fired the gun.
The man received facial injuries and was taken to the Mater Hospital where his injuries are said to be not life-threatening.
The men fled the scene on foot.
A garda spokesman said officers in Finglas are continuing to investigate the attempted armed robbery.
