Man seriously injured in accident at Dublin building site

A construction worker has been seriously injured in an accident at a building site in north Dublin this morning.

A number of scaffolding plants are understood to have fallen on top of the man at the site in the Finglas area.

The Building and Allied Trades Union says the accident was caused by the high winds lashing the country and is calling on employers to shut down all exposed sites in the interests of safety.
