DUP coucillor's groping trial adjourned

The trial of a former DUP Assembly member accused of groping a female council official was adjourned today because of legal arguments.

The case at Belfast Crown Court before Judge Tom Burgess is due to resume on Friday.

Roger Hutchinson (aged 54) from Millar’s Forge, Dundonald, is alleged to have grabbed the woman’s breasts after leaving a Newtownabbey Council meeting on March 31, 2003.

He denies the charge and claims he went for a glass of water.
