Family of murdered man continue to fight for justice

The family of a Clare man murdered four years ago today have not given up hope of finding his killers.

This New Year's Eve marks the fourth anniversary of the murder of 39-year-old car dealer Sean Poland, who was shot dead at his home, in Blackwater, Ardnacrusha before midnight on December 31, 2002

Although numerous arrests have been made in connection with his death, no one has ever been charged.

Sean Poland's family will remember him with mass in their native Galway today and his sister Marie Horgan, is still appealing to anyone who has information about his death to come forward

“This time of the year for us is very sad, very heartbreaking,” she said.

“We want to appeal to anyone who knows anything or who has heard anything about Sean's murder in the last four years please come forward and go to any Garda station. Even if it's just something they heard, it might spark off something for us.”
