60 new garda jobs on offer as part of anti-crime measures

Advertisements for 60 new jobs in the Gardaí are appearing in the national press this morning as part of the Government's latest plan to crack down on criminal gangs.

The hiring of the extra criminal and policing analysts and telecommunications technicians is part of a package of anti-crime measures announced by Minister for Justice Michael McDowell earlier this week.
