Aer Lingus warns of flight delays due to Heathrow fog
Aer Lingus is warning of delays on its services into London Heathrow Airport this morning due to ongoing thick fog.
Tens of thousands of passengers have been stranded at the airport as a result of the fog, with around 350 mainly domestic flights cancelled due to restrictions on the number of planes that can land and take off.
Other British airports have also been affected by the bad weather, which is expected to last until tomorrow.
The knock-on effect is hitting travellers across Britain on domestic and European journeys, while the problems in London will also affect Irish travellers getting connecting flights.
A spokesperson for Aer Lingus says the airline intends to operate a normal schedule, but passengers may experience some delays on the Heathrow route.
