A man in his thirties has been taken to hospital following a shooting in Limerick.

A man in his thirties has been taken to hospital following a shooting in Limerick.

The incident happened at 12.30pm at Sean Heuston Place in the city.

It is the fourth shooting in the city in recent days.

The man’s condition has been described as "serious but stable".

The scene has been sealed off for technical examination.
