ITF meets owners to discuss Merchant Brilliant pay dispute
The owners of a Russian cargo ship are due to meet representatives of the International Transport Federation in Dublin this morning to discuss the pay dispute on board the Merchant Brilliant.
The ITF secured a court order last week preventing the ship from leaving Dublin Port until the crew is paid outstanding wages.
The federation claims the 20 Russian and Latvian workers are owed around €150,000 between them.
Earlier this month, the ITF secured €127,000 in back wages for the crew of another vessel, the Merchant Bravery, which has the same owners as the Merchant Brilliant.
