Elderly women dies after being hit by car in Co Clare

A woman in her 70's has died after being hit by a car in Co Clare yesterday evening.

The accident happened shortly after 7.30pm on the outskirts of Kilrush.

The dead woman is understood to have been crossing the main Kilrush to Kilkee Road when she was knocked down.
