Post mortems carried out on bodies of Dublin gun victims

Post mortems have been carried out on the bodies of the two men killed in Dublin's latest gangland shooting yesterday morning.

The target of the attack in Finglas was 39-year-old Martin 'Marlo' Hyland, a major drug supplier who had been living at different addresses due to fears for his safety.

The other victim was 20-year-old apprentice plumber Anthony Campbell, who was working in the house where the shooting took place.

He is believed to have been killed because he might have been a potential witness.

Both men were shot in the head at Hyland's niece's house in Scribblestown Park.

Gardaí say Hyland was the target of a major drugs investigation called Operation Oak and had been warned as recently as Thursday that his life was in danger.

He is believed to have been a major supplier of cocaine, heroin and cannabis to criminal gangs across the country.
