Consumers urged to be on lookout for counterfeit banknotes

The Central Bank is warning consumers to be on the lookout for counterfeit notes during the festive shopping season.

The bank says the increased amount of cash in circulation creates greater opportunity for counterfeiters to pass fake notes.
