Planning body opens hearing into Lansdowne development
An Bord Pleanala is due to begin an oral hearing today into plans to redevelop Lansdowne Road as a new 50,000-seater stadium.
More than 30 objections have been lodged against the planned €365m redevelopment, which was approved by Dublin City Council during the summer.
Objectors are unhappy with the proposed height of the new stadium, its visual impact and traffic congestion likely to be caused by the increased capacity.
