Gardaí renew appeal over Kilkenny shooting

Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information about yesterday's fatal shooting in Kilkenny.

Alan Cunniffee was shot as he gave chase to a lone armed raider in the city.

He died shortly afterwards in Saint Luke’s Hospital.

The state pathologist, Doctor Maire Cassidy, is to carry out a post mortem later this afternoon at Waterford Regional Hospital.
