Five men kidnap woman from her home

Gardaí are investigating the abduction of a woman in her 50s from a house on the Laois-Carlow border this morning.

Five men broke into the house in Graigegullen at around 5am and kidnapped the woman before driving her away in a white van.

The victim is understood to be a member of the Travelling community.

Two other people were also in the house at the time of the incident.
