Budget to benefit elderly and 'ordinary tax payers'

Older people, the disability sector and ordinary taxpayers are expected be the winners in the current Government’s last Budget, due to be unveiled today.

With a General Election looming in mid-2007, Finance Minister Brian Cowen will aim to spread a little goodwill to everybody with the biggest-ever public purse due to the country’s bountiful public finances.
