Mulhall sisters to be sentenced

Two women who killed their mother’s African lover will be sentenced today.

Charlotte Mulhall (aged 23) from Tallaght was found guilty in October of murdering Kenyan Farah Swaleh Noor in March 2005.

Her sister, Linda Mulhall (aged 31), a mother of four, also from Tallaght, was found guilty of manslaughter.

It took a jury at the Central Criminal Court 18 hours of deliberation to reach its decision.

The trial heard the pair killed Farah Swaleh Noor after a drinking session at a house in the Summerhill area.

They attempted to cover up the horrific crime by spending several hours chopping up their victim’s body with a hammer and kitchen knife. They dumped parts of his body around Dublin.

The torso and limbs were found in the Royal Canal near Croke Park while the head, which has never been found, is believed to have been buried in a park in the west of the city.

The sisters claimed the dead man made sexual advances to Linda, triggering the events that led to his gruesome death.
