Man to appear in court after 'ramming' car into RTÉ doors

A man in his 50's is to appear in court in Dublin tomorrow following an incident at RTÉ studios last night.

Shortly after 11pm a car was driven into the revolving doors of the main television building in Donnybrook.

The audience from the "Tubridy Tonight" chat show were leaving the reception area at the time, but nobody was injured.

The man was detained by RTÉ security staff before being handed over to Gardaí.

He was then arrested and is being questioned at Donnybrook Garda Station.

The incident is believed to be connected to last weekend's disruption of the Late Late Show, when a man had to be removed from the studio after shouting abuse at host Pat Kenny.
