Funeral of Kilkenny teenager Ciara Gibbs today

Kilkenny teenager Ciara Gibbs is being laid to rest today.

The 16-year-old was found dead at her home last weekend.

Her father and brother found Ciara in her bed, with her mother lying unconscious on the floor beside her.

Gardaí are still investigating the cause of her death.

She will be buried in Kilcash, County Tipperary after midday Mass today.

Father Roderick Whearty, who is the chaplain at Ciara's school, said that her fellow students will miss her greatly.

He said everything possible is being done to help them cope.
