Search underway for missing walker in Co Cork

A search is getting underway in Cork this morning for a walker who has gone missing near Gouganbarra.

The man, believed to be from Cork, left his car in the area sometime yesterday, and has failed to return to it.

Macroom gardaí alerted rescue teams, and a search operation is being launched by Kerry Mountain Rescue.

Rescue teams will be in place on the mountain and ready to start at 8pm.
