Cabinet to discuss same-sex marriages

The Cabinet is due to discuss the findings of a report into gay marriage and civil partnerships when it meets at Government buildings this morning.

The report was commissioned by Minister for Justice Michael McDowell to recommend ways to create greater equality for co-habiting and same-sex couples in areas such as tax, inheritance and social welfare.
