Two men in custody in connection with Drogheda murder
Gardaí in Co Louth are holding two men this morning in connection with the murder of Paul Reay in Drogheda last week.
The 26-year-old was shot dead last Thursday morning while on his way to Kells District Court to face drugs charges.
The gunman opened fire as the father-of-three was being driven to court by his sister, who was also shot in the shoulder during the attack.
The two men in custody in connection with the incident are aged 22 and 25 and were arrested on the north side of Drogheda yesterday afternoon.
A house and a car on the north side of the town have also been searched as part of the murder investigation.
