Ecumenical service for murdered Latvian
An ecumenical service for murdered Latvian woman Baiba Saulite will be held near her home in Dublin tonight.
Ms Saulite was shot dead in the hallway of her house on November 19 as her two sons, aged three and four, slept upstairs.
The victim had told her friends and neighbours she was concerned for her safety but gardai said they were unaware of any specific threat.
After Ms Saulite’s death, it emerged that her solicitor had received death threats, including an arson attack on his house last February.
An ecumenical service will be held by friends and locals in St Colmcille’s Catholic Church in Swords at 7.30pm.
The dead woman’s husband, who is currently in prison, was refused bail to care for his children at the Circuit Criminal Court last week.
