The European Environmental Agency has warned that Dublin will need new infrastructure if its urban sprawl continues.

The EEA report predicts that by 2025 the amount of homes in the greater Dublin area will have more than doubled.

It says the main expansion will be north of the city, will little new development in the south because of the physical constraints.
