Man arrested in connection with Edinburgh 'cone' attack

A man has been arrested in Edinburgh after a Galway woman suffered serious injuries when she was hit by a traffic cone in the city at the weekend.

It is believed that the object was thrown from a bridge.

The 29-year-old handed himself in to police. The victim, 23-year-old Kate Flannery, has been transferred to a spinal injuries unit following the incident.
