Man released after double-murder questioning

A man who was being questioned about the double murder of a couple who were set on fire in Armagh has been released on bail.

It is two weeks since Thomas O'Hare and Lisa McClatchey were attacked by a group of men in their Co Armagh home.

The 24-year-old suspect was arrested in Co Armagh near to where Thomas O'Hare, aged 33, and his 21-year-old girlfriend Lisa McClatchey, were beaten and doused in petrol by a gang of men.

The couple died in hospital after fighting for their lives for days following the attack.

Six masked intruders are believed to have carried out the attack.

An hour after the incident, four men appeared at a hospital across the border in Co Louth with critical burns.

They were later transferred for specialist treatment in Dublin, where gardaí are continuing to monitor them.
