Police treating Belfast body find as suspicious
The discovery of a woman’s body at a house in West Belfast is being treated as suspicious, police said tonight.
It is understood injuries were found on the body by officers who were alerted by a telephone call at around 1pm.
They went to a house on Erris Grove in the Blacks Road area of the city where they located the body.
Specialist forensic officers were called to the scene, and the area around the ground floor flat was sealed off.
The victim’s identity or age have not yet been disclosed.
But it is understood police have launched an extensive inquiry into the circumstances surrounding her death. They have appealed for any witnesses or those with information to contact them.
