Body washed ashore in Co Clare
A body has been discovered this morning after it wash washed ashore overnight at Farrihy Bay in County Clare, about two miles from Kilkee.
It is believed to be that of a Polish man, who went missing off the coast two weeks ago after being swept out to sea while fishing near Kilkee.
The body was taken to Limerick General Hospital where a post mortem will be carried out.
If confirmed, the discovery will bring to an end an exhaustive two-week search that involved local and national rescue crews.
Another man, a Latvian, was swept from the rocks near Dunbeg in Co Clare in a similar incident a week ago.
