Swedish student's remains found in Kerry

Killarney gardaí have confirmed that the remains found at the base of Mangerton Mountain near the town are that of Swedish student Olof Jansson.

The 22-year-old went missing in the area while on a three-day trek, five days after Christmas, 2004.

The body was discovered by a sheep farmer Wednesday evening along with a rucksack.

Gardaí say the remains have been positively identified through dental records.
