Teen killed on bike bought day before crash

A teenager was killed when she fell from a quad bike bought just a day earlier with her brothers’ confirmation and communion money, an inquest heard today.

A steering defect was discovered on the vehicle which toppled as Nicola Nolan turned a corner just yards from her home in Leitrim village.
