Rachel O'Reilly's husband in court

The husband of Rachel O’Reilly will appear in court later today in relation to her death.

Joe O’Reilly is accused of killing the mother-of-two at their north Co Dublin home two years ago.

The 35-year-old was formally charged with the killing on October 4, 2004, at Swords District Court last week.

During the extensive two-year-old investigation, detectives identified a suspect’s car and questioned every owner in Ireland of the same model of car, a Fiat Marea saloon.

Mr O’Reilly, of Lambay View, Beldaragh, The Naul, north Co Dublin, will appear at Cloverhill District Court, west Dublin, later today.
