Pensioners group: New laws mean less nursing home grants

Pensioners group Age Action Ireland has called for an amendment to the law which would see 5% of the value of a pensioner's home being counted as income for the means test.

The organisation fears that this may lead to the HSE refusing subvention for nursing home care to many older people.
