No convictions on 10th anniversary of Barron death

It is ten years to the day since the death of Donegal man Ritchie Barron.

The subsequent investigation into his death led to the establishment of the Morris Tribunal.

Attempts by gardai to frame two men, Frank McBrearty Jnr and Mark McConnell for his murder were central to the setting up of the probe into Garda corruption in Donegal.

Mr Barron's death has since been designated as a hit and run and no-one has ever been brought to justice.
