Man injured in Moyross shooting
A 20-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being injured in an overnight shooting in the Moyross area of Limerick.
The man suffered pellet wounds to his face during the attack in the Delmege Park area at around 10.30pm, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
The motive for the shooting is unknown.
Meanwhile, the mother of the two children who were seriously injured in a firebomb attack in Moyross last month has formally surrendered her house to Limerick City Council.
Sheila Murray fled the house in Pineview Gardens over the weekend when it came under attack from a gang of youths throwing rocks and bricks.
She has now given up the tenancy, meaning her family are currently homeless.
Ms Murray has returned to Dublin to be with her two badly burned children, who are still being treated at Crumlin Children's Hospital.
Her other four children are being cared for by friends in Limerick.
