Ahern 'glad to consult' McDowell
The Taoiseach has told reporters in Limerick that he has not spoken to Tánaiste Michael McDowell since yesterday, but wanted to get on with the business of government.
He said he was willing to clarify anything that the Tánaiste wanted cleared up in relation to the his purchase of his home in Drumcondra.
"If he wants me to consult him closely on any of these issues, I'd be glad to," Mr Ahern said. "It's always my intention to do that.
"I have to take account of the confidentiality of the tribunal, but if it means being helpful, I'm always prepared to do that."
