Protests at the Corrib gas terminal continue this morning as 170 gardaí arrive to escort Shell employees to the site.

A group of more than 100 opponents of the Corrib terminal in north Mayo marched to the entrance for the third morning in a row.

Willie Corduff, one of the Rossport men who was jailed for 94 days last year and who is taking part in this morning's march, said the group was staging a peaceful demonstration to continue its total opposition to Shell's plans.
