Aviation broker remanded in custody
A 36-year-old aviation broker was remanded in custody today charged in connection with last week’s seizure of €10m worth of heroin at a small airport in Belgium.
Judge Cormac Dunne remanded John Kinsella with an address at Cairn Wood, Johnstown, Navan, County Meath, to Cloverhill Prison until Friday, as it was feared he might flee the country.
Garda objected to Mr Kinsella being released on bail due to the seriousness of the charges and his involvement in the aviation business.
At Bridewell District Court, Jude Dunne said: “Mr Kinsella does constitute a flight risk and I refused him bail.”
