Northside gang identified as main suspects in TSB raid
Gardaí have reportedly identified a north Dublin gang as the chief suspects in the robbery of a Permanent-TSB branch in Coolock yesterday morning.
The gang took the family of the bank manager hostage on Monday night and forced her to go to work as normal yesterday.
She was told to take money from the safe and hand it over to the gang on Clonshaugh Road before being reunited with her husband and two children.
Reports this morning say more than €800,000 was taken during the robbery, which is believed to have been carried out by a gang behind a number of recent high-profile raids.
The gang is reportedly based in Coolock and Donaghmede and is believed to have been behind a robbery in Killester last month in which another bank worker's family was also held hostage.
