Irishman critical after attempted murder-suicide in US

A 52-year-old Irishman is in a critical condition in the United States after shooting his wife dead and then turning the gun on himself.

James Reid, a native of Dublin who had been living in Meath, is currently on a life-support machine at a Florida hospital.
